Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad
(“SCBMB”) will run the Fixed Deposit and
Wealth Management promotion (“Promotion”) from 8 April to 30 June
2010, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”). |

| 2. |
Under this Promotion:
| 2.1) |
Eligible Customers will receive premium gifts (“Gift”)
based on the total funds placed
in Participating Products (as defined below), as follows:

| 2.2) |
Fixed deposits placed with SCBMB under this Promotion
will earn interest at the rate of
2.60% p.a. for 6-month tenor or 2.88% p.a. for 12-month tenor
(or such other rate as may be announced by SCBMB from time to
time). |

| 3. |
Eligibility
| 3.1) |
This campaign is open to existing and new Priority
Banking customers of SCBMB who
fulfill the following conditions (“Eligible Customers”):
|
|
(a) |
Existing customers must place at least additional
total funds of RM150,000 in a
combination of fixed deposits and investment products with SCBMB
during the Promotion Period, as set out in paragraph 3 below. |
|
(b) |
New customers or existing non-Priority Banking customers of
SCBMB must place at least additional total funds of RM150,000
in a combination of fixed deposits and investment products with
SBCMB during the Promotion Period, as set out in paragraph 3
below, AND satisfy SCBMB’s existing requirements for Priority
Banking membership. |

(c) |
Any funds used for fixed deposit placements under this Promotion
must be placed either by cheque or fund transfer from another
bank into any of the customer’s SCBMB accounts. |
|
(d) |
All such fixed deposits and investment products must be in
the Eligible Customer’s own name. |
|
(e) |
Investments in unit trust products must not be invested under
the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) Investment Scheme. |
| 3.2) |
Notwithstanding paragraph 3.1 above, the following persons
are NOT eligible to participate in this Promotion:-
|

(a) |
Permanent and/or contract employees of SCBMB (including its
subsidiaries and related companies) and their immediate family
members (spouses, children, parents, brothers and sisters);
and/or |
|
(b) |
Agents (including advertising and promotion agents) of SCBMB
and their immediate family members (spouses, children, parents,
brothers and sisters). |
|
| 4. |
Participating Products |
| 4.1) |
The total funds placed by each customer
under this Promotion must be in the following proportions: |

| 4.2) |
Customers who do not have an existing fixed
deposit account with SCBMB are required to open such an account. |
| 4.3) |
Investments placed under this Promotion
must be in the investment products (namely Structured Investments,
Bonds, Unit Trust investments and Bancassurance products) specified
by SCBMB from time to time (“Participating Products”). Please
request the latest list of Participating Products from any SCBMB branch.
The list of Participating Products may by added to or reduced from
time to time during the Promotion Period at the discretion of SCBMB. |
| 4.4) |
The investment(s) must be transacted by
30 June 2010 and must not be subsequently withdrawn or cancelled. A
customer who terminates, withdraws or cancels any of these investments,
with the result that his/her total invested funds under this Promotion
does not reach the stipulated minimum, will not be entitled to the
gift. If such termination, withdrawal or cancellation occurs after
the customer receives the gift, SCBMB is entitled to claim the full
retail value of the gift from the customer. |
| 4.5) |
Customers are reminded that they will be
subject to the usual relevant fees and charges, and Terms and Conditions,
of the respective Participating Products. |
| 4.6) |
This Promotion applies to investment(s)
made in selected Bancassurance plan and the Bancassurance policies
which must be issued by 15 June 2010. |
| 4.7) |
Combination of Bancassurance polices for
different insured persons are not allowed. |

| 5. |
The maximum CashBack payable for both Spend
Periods combined to any one Participating Card account is capped at
SGD$100. |
|
| 6. |
All charges must be charged to the same
Participating Card. For debit cards, the charges must be charged to
the same debit card account number. |
|
| 5. |
Promotion Gift |
|
5.1) |
The gifts shown in advertisements
and other marketing materials are for illustration purposes only.
The actual design may differ. |
|
5.2) |
All gift redemptions must be
indicated by the customer filling up and signing the Premium Gift
Redemption Form for this Promotion. All Forms must be duly submitted
to SCBMB by 15 June 2010. |
|
5.3) |
All items are subject to availability.
Please allow six (6) to eight (8) weeks for delivery. For any item(s)
unclaimed after two (2) weeks from initial delivery date or after
two (2) attempts of delivery, whichever occurs earlier, the customer
shall have to personally collect the item(s) at the address stated
on the Courier Advice sent to the customer, or the delivery charges
for the item(s) shall be borne by the customer. |

5.4) |
All item(s) do not include
installation costs and are not exchangeable for cash. |
|
5.5) |
Delivery of item(s) will be
made against written acknowledgement or receipt of the items by the
occupant(s) at the customer’s latest address in SCBMB’s record.
However, no delivery of item(s) will be made to a P.O. Box address
or to any address outside Malaysia. Customers whose address in SCBMB’s
records is outside Malaysia must contact their Relationship Manager
to provide an alternative address for delivery. |

5.6) |
SCBMB reserves the right to
change or substitute at any time, at its own discretion, any of the
items with others of similar value if such items become unavailable
or are discontinued. |
|
5.7) |
All unclaimed item(s) will
be deemed as forfeited. It is the customer’s responsibility to contact
their respective Relationship Manager if the items have not been received
by the end of the estimated delivery period stated in above. |
|
5.8) |
Customers are advised to examine
the items upon receipt. If a customer finds the item faulty or damaged,
or is otherwise dissatisfied with the item, the customer must liaise
with the relevant merchant or manufacturer directly. SCBMB does not
warrant nor shall SCBMB be responsible for the quality, merchantability
or the fitness for any other aspect of the gifts received by customers
in connection with this Promotion. SCBMB does not represent and/or
is not an agent of the merchant(s), agent(s) and service provider(s)
participating in this promotion. SCBMB shall not be liable to the
customer for any loss, cost or damages of any kind suffered by the
customer or any other person, resulting from the use of the gifts. |

5.9) |
All decisions made by SCBMB
on matters not covered by these Terms and Conditions shall be final.
No correspondence will be entertained. |
|
5.10) |
SCBMB reserves the right at
its absolute discretion to amend, delete or add to any of these Terms
and Conditions from time to time without prior notice. For updated
versions of these Terms and Conditions, please revisit standarchartered.com.my
from time to time. |

5.11) |
In the event of inconsistency
between the English language version of these Terms and Conditions
and any version in another language, the English language version
will prevail. |
